I. Program Overview

Tantalum-niobium ore is an important strategic rare metal resource, and its beneficiation process needs to be differentiated according to the characteristics of the ore. This tantalum-niobium ore beneficiation solution adopts gravity-magnetic separation as the main joint process, through the "roughing-finishing" two-stage design, to achieve efficient recovery and separation of tantalum-niobium ore, and the grade of concentrate Ta₂O₅+Nb₂O₅ can reach more than 50%, which is especially suitable for tantalum-niobium ore beneficiation containing magnetic minerals.


Process flow

  1. Roughing section

    • Jigger processing +0.5mm coarse-grained ore

    • Spiral chute processing 0.5-0.074mm medium and fine grains

  2. Selection section

    • High gradient magnetic separation and purification (1.2-1.5T)

    • Acid washing pretreatment to remove surface iron

    • Shaking table to further refine and improve the grade

  3. Auxiliary process

    • Screening and grading: to ensure uniformity of particle size.

    • Dewatering and drying: natural drying or low temperature drying.
