Diamond Alluvial Gravity Separation Solutions

I. Program Overview

This solution aims to provide a set of highly efficient, economical and environmentally friendly diamond alluvial ore beneficiation production line, which is specially designed for secondary deposits such as river alluvial and seaside alluvial ores. The core of diamond alluvial gravity beneficiation solution adopts the mature "washing-screening-jigging-oil separation" gravity beneficiation process, through multi-stage crushing, grading, roughing and selecting, to achieve a high recovery rate of diamonds under the premise of protecting the integrity of diamond crystals to the maximum extent. This program does not require the use of chemicals, is a physical beneficiation method, environmentally friendly.

 

Second, the core process flow details

The gravity beneficiation process of diamond alluvial ore is mainly centered on the separation of density differences, the specific steps are as follows:

  1. Washing and screening system

    • Purpose: to break up the mineral mud mass, separate the clay, clean the pebbles surface adherents, and classify the raw ore according to the particle size, in preparation for the subsequent sorting operation.

    • Flow: The raw ore is fed into the rotary scrubber through the feeder, and the materials are fully scrubbed and broken under the action of high-pressure water jet and the rotation of the cylinder. The washed material enters the double-deck vibrating screen, and is accurately graded into different particle sizes such as +10mm, 10-5mm, 5-2mm, 2-0.5mm, and so on.

    • Advantages: Effectively solve the problem of slime sticking together and improve the subsequent sorting efficiency; accurate classification, realizing "early harvesting and particle level sorting".

  2. Jigging Roughing System

    • Purpose: Utilizing the density difference between diamonds and vein minerals, separating diamond-rich rough concentrate and discarding most of the low-density tailings.

    • Flow: After grading, materials of different grain sizes are fed into the corresponding jigger respectively.

      • 0-30mm jigger: processing +5mm or +10mm coarser grain size materials.

      • 0-10mm jigger: processing 5-2mm, 2-0.5mm and other fine-grained materials.

    • Principle: Jigger machine makes the bed loose and stratified through the pulsation of water flow, high-density diamonds sink to become heavy products (rough concentrate), and low-density light minerals are taken away by the water flow as tailings.

    • Advantage: large processing capacity, high recovery rate, it is the core equipment for diamond roughing.

  3. Oil Selection Concentrate System

    • Purpose: Final separation of diamonds from the jigged rough concentrate to obtain a high purity final concentrate.

    • Process: The rough concentrate (containing diamonds, zircon, garnet and other high-density minerals) produced by jigging is fed into the vibrating oil paste concentrator (Grease Table).

    • Principle: The hydrophobic (lipophilic and hydrophobic) properties of diamonds are utilized. When a belt coated with a special grease is vibrated and washed with water, the hydrophobic diamonds adhere firmly to the grease, while the hydrophilic other minerals are washed away by the water. The material adhering to the paste is collected periodically and cleaned by heat or solvent to obtain pure diamonds.

    • Advantage: The sorting precision is extremely high, which is the ultimate guarantee for diamond selection and can effectively protect the diamond crystals.
